Here are nine different methods you could use to practise your spellings.

The example word is: bargain

Dictionary definition

Write a definition of the word.

Bargain: buying something for a much lower price than expected

Write each letter of your spelling in a different colour

Spelling in a sentence

Write a sentence containing the word

Graffiti Spelling

Choose a graffiti style and write your spelling

 

Wordsearch

Make your own wordsearch with ten spelling words in

 

Scrabble Spelling

Use scrabble tiles to spell out your spelling (or make your own tiles by cutting up card or paper into 26 pieces - one for each letter)

Syllable Split

Spell the word on a piece of paper and then chop it into syllables.

Speed Spell

Try to write your spelling as many times as possible in one minute.  You'll be surprised how hard this is!
