SUCCESS FOR ALL

Spring term

At the beginning of the term, Meranti enjoyed showcasing their learning through their class assembly all about 'Sound'. The children sang, played instruments and performed their lines really well - we even had a violin solo!

In class, we have been exploring a new text called, 'Arthur and the Golden Rope' by Joe Todd Sianton. This is a mythical narrative and the children have enjoyed collaborative writing in preparation for their independent write. There were some lovely ideas including, expanded noun phrases, use of pronouns and fronted adverbials!

Our newest member of the class enjoyed exploring states of matter in our Science lesson and found out how a solid can turn into a liquid!

We delved deeper into our new class text which was an invention narrative called Manfish which was a story about the inventor and scuba diver, Jacques Cousteau.

The class enjoyed immersing themselves further into the text, some more collaborative writing and learning about how the dreams of a young boy can come true!
